Carry The Fire

The full length debut from Delta Rae is "Carry The Fire" and it's on Sire Records. It's folk rock out of North Carolina, the Tar Heel State, with three siblings with too many consonants in their surname, Holljes, but the important thing is they have two knockout female singers, Brittany H. and Liz Hopkins, not to mention the third voice, Eric H., is equally capable. There's some memorable Miss Take music on "If I Loved You" that could make Rhett Miller sigh and "Bottom of the River" is a kick-ass lady sings the blues tune that will make you a fan. One of the year's best, this one would make for one perfect show if Delta Rae played with the Avett Brothers.
