Somewhere Beneath These Southern Skies

There's more Southern Rock from the Dirty Guv'nahs - the album is "Somewhere Beneath These Southern Skies" and it's on Dualtone. This is an advance from this Knoxville six-piece due out in August. Twangy and raucous - almost making you drink beer - as the band covers the usual suspect: women, whiskey and why me? On a scale of 1-to-10, I would imagination it would be an "8" as to the possibility of drunks shouting to hear "'Free Bird" as the set progresses and their sobriety fades. These guys are a bunch of pros who know what they're doing and frontman James Trimble has that perfect gruff and groovy rock voice. Anthems like "Temptation" will make you a fan of this seamlessly crafted corporate country rock.
