Skrillex's fourth and latest EP is "Bangarang" and it's on Big Beat/Atlantic. This one came out around Christmastime but physically (which is all I care about) in January. With a name like Skrillex - he's reminiscent of a skillet, sex and a tribble - make your own porn out of that one. Born Sonny John Moore, he's a twentysomething Grammy Award winning electronic music wiz and he's also a Capricorn, so he never lies and is always right. There's a weird, technical explanation for what he does but if you explain it too much, you ruin it, so we'll leave at this: It's foot candy made by a bunch of machines with samples and vocal snippets. "Breakin' A Sweat" pretty much showcases Skrillex's connections and passions as he is joined by the three living members of the Doors and even a part of a Jim Morrison interview is included. Does it work? Dunno. Sorta. Probably. Ask your feet.

Bill Locey reviews music for the Ventura County Star, when he isn't reenacting the history of this great nation or teaching it to incarcerated youth.
He is the tall guy lurking in the back of all the local rock shows.
