Drunken Prayer, a common enough occurrence, for our purposes is a band with a new one. "Into The Missionfield" and it's on - and ya gotta love this - Fluff + Gravy Records. If you stumbled into a bar and Drunken Prayer was playing, you'd stay to drink your weight in beer as this is bar band/beer band nirvana - note the Drunken part of the band name. These guys remind me of one of Missouri's best, the Bottle Rockets and frontman Morgan Geer even sounds like Brian Henneman of the Rockets. It's Red State party music that rocks and your stumble opportunity is coming - Drunken Prayer will be at the Brewhouse in Santa Barbara on August 16 - so much for worker productivity on Friday - these guys will be worth it.
