Jesca Hoop's latest is "The House That Jack Built" and it's on Bella Union. Hoop was raised a NorCal Mormon but won't be helping out poor little Mittens on the campaign, rather the very photogenic Ms Hoop is instead driving around trying to sell a few copies of this, her third album. It's jazzy and spacey with lots of whoops and mood changes, just like a before your time high school driver training class where 10th graders are trying to drive a stick shift. These don't really work for me - did I say she takes a purty picture?
