I never get much Domino stuff, so I'm extra excited to check out Hot Chip's latest - that would be "In Our Heads." Hot Chip is an electronic group out of Scary Olde England - a couple of guys and a bunch of machines which unfortunately reminds me of the hated Doug Neidermeyer from "Animal House," as these guys are "wimpy and weak." It's so lightweight the crowd needs to wear weighted Vans, lest they levitate into the ether. Hot Chip is fully as dangerous as whistling in the backyard, yet they are relentlessly pleasant on a superficial level. Imagine the Human League as shadows.
