Mystic Pinball

The New John Hiatt album - his zillionth - is called "Mystic Pinball" and is on his zillionth label - this time New West. Actually, I lied - this makes 21 albums on seven labels, the last six on New West, so maybe he's found a home at 60. As usual Hiatt is surrounded by as good as it gets roots rockin' pros and he has that gritty squawk, sort of like if someone was squeezing Billy Bob Thornton real tight. On every Hiatt album, every song is good - a few are great and none of them suck. "It All Comes Back Someday," in addition to being words of wisdom, is just one of many that stand out - along with Mitt Romney's possible theme song, "My Business." Hiatt rocks. Any questions? Any answers?
