Michael "Iron Man" Burks is back with a new one - that would be "Show of Strength" and it's mighty, mighty Alligator Records. Burks died last May, too young at 54. He was an electric blues guy who sang his own tunes and selected covers. Burks was solid but generic and none of this stuff is likely to rock your world, unless you're a Robert Cray sort of person, then Burks will hit the right notes for you. I like my blues grittier - like Black Joe Lewis.
