The No Refund Band has released a self-titled album, doing that DIY thing out of Texas. It's another solid blues band and these guys found the right front man in Ricky Jackson, who multi-tasks as he also plays lead guitar. They have a happening horn section and a bunch of songs that would keep your big butt planted at the bar should you luckily stumble across these dudes - and you wouldn't be asking for no refund. The hook from the opener will grab you, "Blues is my business and business is good..." And out of left field they cover "Eleanor Rigby." Why ask why - it totally works. Once again, why can't Texas politicians keep up with their musicians, quality-wise?
