Rock 'n' Roll Call: The Allah Las - Allah Las

Allah Las

The Allah Las have a new one and unlike the Afghan Taliban who want to return to the seventh century - these guys will settle for 1965 right here, right now in 2012. Yup, it's raggedy and wild garage band rock - where neatness never counts because no one cares about that stuff, anyway. These guys seem to be channeling the Seeds, the Count Five, the Shadows of Knight and/or some band playing at the Sea Witch down on the Sunset Strip back when the sundowns were in black and white. And happily, they're reminiscent of more recent examples of garage band nirvana such as Japanese Motors. I love it when stuff that was good the first time comes back...or refuses to go away. And, of course, the American Taliban are just as stupid as their Asian jihadi brethren - ours just dress better and can drive.
