They have one of the great band names - And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - and they have a new one, "Lost Songs," just out on Century Media Records. Trail of Dead for short, is one of the great American bands - they're out of Texas - they sound like Brits straight out of Phil Spector's unconscious - back when it mattered. There's a couple of mildly screamy ones but most of this is wall of sound, jam band guitars going off into psychedelic excursions that you'll love right off. There's only four of these guys but they make enough music for twice that number, especially if baroque shoe gazer rock is your thing.
