First off, I want to wish all of you an excellent holiday! I have a few suggestions that may make your journey a safer one for the long weekend.

"You better shop around"... To those not in the know, we have a program that keeps you up to date on the best local gas prices. It can be found at:

I found one of the best prices in town is at Shell on Vineyard in N. Oxnard, it's just off the freeway and has a great vegetable stand too!

"The gas station pit stop"... Take advantage of the time it takes to fill the gas tank and check your oil level in your car and the air pressure in your tires. Low, or worse no oil can make for an extensive repair bill. Improper air pressure is the leading cause for tire blowouts.

"Take the high road"...When in doubt map it out, often time those short-cuts don't save enough time to be worth the risk of les gas stations or break stops along the way. Yes, most of us have cell phones but that doesn't mean AAA will get to you quicker if your on some out of the way road.

"If the lights are on"... Most of us have daytime running lights. If you don't, turn them on while in dense traffic or tight roads. There is a good reason why motorcycles are required to have a light at all times, it makes you stand out!
