The Calabasas High girls' tennis team has been playing without top
singles player Sabrina Man-Son-Hing the last couple of matches.
The senior's mother has been hospitalized with an illness, according to Calabasas head coach Cleo Harper.
"As
I understand, her mother is recovering. But when that happens to a
parent that really puts a strain on a player," Harper said. "I pretty
much told her she needs to take that time and go right ahead and the
team will support her."
Man-Son-Hing's absence has changed the dynamics of the Calabasas lineup, but the Coyotes are adjusting well.
"They
are holding their own," Harper said. "It's just a matter of us getting
the team to get a little more strong in our doubles play. Once we do
that, I think we should be on par again as to where we were in the
past. Right now, it's a learning curve we are going through."
