Oaks Christian's eight-game winning streak came to an abrupt halt Friday night as Santa Clara kept its Tri-Valley League boys' basketball hopes alive with a 58-48 home win.

Casi Komski had 12 points and Cierre Wood added 10 for Santa Clara (14-6, 4-2 Tri-Valley). Oaks Christian dropped to 18-3 overall and 5-1 in the TVL despite 19 points from Tyler McGrath.

Oaks Christian fell into a first place TVL tie with Oak Park, which beat St. Bonaventure, 36-25.

Oaks Christian and Oak Park face each other next week in a game that could decide the league title.  Santa Clara faces Carpinteria and Malibu next week.
