Ventura has stormed to the top in the first week of the Channel League boys' basketball season.

Behind 13 points from Trent Reeves and 12 from Ricky Fausset, Ventura defeated Santa Barbara, 52-50, Friday night.

It was the 13th victory in the last 14 games for Ventura (15-3 overall)
