Oaks Christian School offensive tackle Erik Kohler has made a verbal commitment to the University of Washington, Oaks Christian coach Bill Redell said.

Kohler, a 6-foot-5, 290-pound lineman, will be starting for his third season with Oaks Christian.
"He's very  strong and has great leadership abilities," said Redell.

Kohler might be used on the defensive line more than he has in the past, said Redell.

He is the fourth Oaks Christian player to commit to a major college prior to the 2009 season.

Running back Malcolm Jones and lineman Cassius Marsh are considering scholarship offers, said Redell. Jones has narrowed his choices between UCLA and Stanford
