The Marmonte League will vote to add Oaks Christian School into its league for all sports at the meeting of the CIF-Southern Council in Long Beach next Thursday.
The league's choice, revealed in a letter released Thursday, would amount to a swap of Calabasas for Oaks Christian in the next releaguing cycle that begins in 2010. The Northern Area's new makeup will be up for a vote by its nine member leagues during the releaguing session.
The Marmonte League's statement said it based its preference on competitive equity and the desire to remain an eight-team circuit.
Four proposals will be on the table when the Northern Area convenes for the CIF-SS Council meeting.

For several years now I have been ranting on about the Idea of putting all the private schools in a league of their own. Mainly because private schools have an edge over public schools, and that is, they can recruit players. Which gives them a stronger athletic program.
I am all for a league that will house all private schools.
So, enough of the debate. Lets vote for the change.

Great idea if you don't let them scholarship athletes any more and limit there coaching staff to 8-10.
If Oaks is accepted for football into Marmonte league for 2010, how will they fare initially??

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
