A Kendrick Mathis 15-yard touchdown run with five minutes left sealed the game for Buena.
Royal 24, Calabasas 6
Keith Langley had two touchdown runs for Royal.
Moorpark 31, Newbury Park 30
Moorpark was trailing 30-16 with three minutes left in the game. Brady Rohach found Patrick Blandin for a 20-yard touchdown pass with 2:08 to go. With 1:07 left, Rohach completed a 49-yard touchdown pass to Cheldon West. Moorpark went for two, and Rohach connected with Quinn Bauducco to take the lead. Newbury Park drove down the field and attempted a 49-yard field goal with five seconds left and missed, but Moorpark was called for being offsides. Newbury Park's next field goal try hit the crossbar, ending the game.
Simi Valley 41, Agoura 35
Simi Valley High staved off a second-half comeback by host Agoura on Thursday night to win the Marmonte League opener for both schools.The Pioneers staked themselves to a 15-0 lead early, only to have the Chargers tie the game in the fourth quarter. Simi Valley workhorse Jens Jeters, however, sealed the victory with the winning touchdown with a 1:33 left in the game and then added an interception one minute later.
Westlake 31, Thousand Oaks 3
Tavior Mowry ran for two touchdowns as Westlake beat Thousand Oaks in a game televised on Fox Sports Prime Ticket.
Campbell Hall 39, Villanova 26
Doyle Jackson ran for two touchdowns for Villanova, and threw another touchdown pass to Dallas Dufresne.
Chino 49, Oak Park 19
Anthony Pounds returned a fumble 60 yards for a touchdown for Oak Park. Nick Rogers and Connor Hill added touchdown runs.
