Jonathan Davis, Simi Valley High's 6-foot-7 senior forward, has committed to play for George Washington University.
Davis averaged 16.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game as a junior for Christian Aurand's Pioneers, earning first-team All-Marmonte League, first-team All-Ventura County and second-team All-CIF honors.
He has averaged 11.8 points and nine rebounds per game in his two seasons on varsity. Entering his senior season, he ranked No. 27 on the all-time scoring list and is tied for 11th on the all-time rebounding list.
Davis would be the seventh Simi Valley player to continue his playing career at the college level in the past four seasons, joining Loren Jackson (Pepperdine), Mike Meza (UC San Diego), Tyler Trapani (UCLA), Brad Lewis (UC Santa Barbara), CJ Faulwell (Occidental College) and Joey Brinton (Moorpark College).
