Mullaney a state leader

Upon further review, Thousand Oaks High wide receiver Richard Mullaney finished this season as the state's all-time single-season leader in pass receptions.
Mullaney originally was credited with 120 catches this season -- including 63 in his final three games -- to place second on the state's all-time receptions' list.
But Thousand Oaks coach Mike Leibin pored over tapes of all 12 Lancer games and discovered that the senior wide receiver snagged 122 catches.
The total eclipses by one the 33-year-old state record of 121 catches for Steve Martinez of L.A. Wilson High in 1977.
Mullaney finished with 122 catches for 1,703 yards and 20 touchdowns.
