Compiled from staff reports.

SCORES

Oaks Christian 36, St. Bonaventure 24
Brandon Dawkins, making his first start at quarterback for the Lions, passed for 177 yards and accounted for two touchdowns, and sophomore receiver Chris Davis caught seven passes for 98 yards and the game's decisive score after a determined Seraphs' rally.

Westlake 38, Thousand Oaks 6
Defensive end Johnny Stuart and nose guard Kenneth AhChing returned to restore Ventura County's best defensive line to full strength and Westlake unleashed its full force to feast on host Thousand Oaks.

Ventura 35, Nordhoff 20
Conner Armstrong ran for three touchdowns and amassed 171 yards on 23 carries to power the Cougars.

Oxnard 42, Buena 35
Oxnard players and fans honored their injured teammate with stickers on the back of their helmets that read "A.P." and included his number "25." What meant the most to Oxnard players though was providing a 42-35 win over visiting Buena High in a game dedicated to Adrian Padilla.

Moorpark 48, Newbury Park 12
Newbury Park's first drive went sour fast when Jordan Guerrero intercepted a pass from Ben Okun and returned it 45 yards to give Moorpark (2-1, 1-1) a 7-0 lead less than two minutes into the game.

Simi Valley 35, Agoura 0
Host Simi Valley blanked hapless Agoura, putting its record at 3-0 overall and 2-0 in league, even though it changed head coaches just six weeks ago.  Quarterback Jake Maranto threw for 250 yards and four touchdowns -- two of them to Eric Pinkston -- to lead the victory over Agoura (0-3, 0-2), which has been outscored 123-11 this season.

Royal 31, Calabasas 10
Codey Mann rushed for 199 yards on 26 carries and scored two touchdowns to help lead Royal. Mann scored both touchdowns in the second quarter on consecutive carries.

Canyon 52, Camarillo 28
Camarillo linebacker Sperling Jameson was taken off the field by an ambulance. He appeared to be moving his arms and legs. We'll have updates on his condition at vcspreps.com when they become available.

Fillmore 59, Frazier Mountain 30
This game was delayed due to lightning and inclement weather.

Bishop Diego 42, Santa Paula 14
Santa Paula's Steven Kohr ran for two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to overcome a 35-0 deficit in the third quarter.

Paraclete 57, Oak Park 15
Paraclete got the best of the Eagles defense, putting together a 472-yard running night. The Spirit (3-1) were led by Frankie Ramirez, who ran for 168 yards on 10 carries, while Antoyne Hutcherson tallied 140 yards on just four carries.

Campbell Hall 37, Grace Brethren 7
Grace Brethren High couldn't contain quarterback RJ Gordon and Campbell Hall's up-tempo offense. After both teams went three-and-out to start the game, Gordon led the onslaught of offensive prowess for Campbell against Brethren's struggling defensive effort.

Mission Prep 21, Villanova Prep 16

Golden Valley 17, Channel Islands 10
Channel Islands tied the game at 10-10 in the third quarter, but Golden Valley took a 17-10 lead minutes later. The Raiders drove to the Golden Valley 4-yard late in the fourth quarter but were denied a game-tying touchdown.

Rio Mesa 16, Santa Barbara 13
Jordan Nunnery's late touchdown capped Rio Mesa's victory, as the Spartans rallied in the fourth quarter after a 35-minute weather delay awkwardly forced both teams to the Peabody Stadium locker rooms in the middle of a pivotal second-half drive.

San Marcos 24, Hueneme 0
In an electrifying start to the first game on its new turf field and renamed stadium, San Marcos' Andrew Thayer returned the opening kickoff 94 yards for a touchdown to ignite the Royals. The game was called with 3:15 remaining in the fourth quarter after thunder rumbled through the area.

Santa Clara 21, King City 21
