St. Bonaventure 38, Newbury Park 6 (FINAL)
The Seraphs first drive ended with an interception in the end zone, and a two-point try on its first touchdown was stuffed at the goal line. St. Bonaventure woke up from there and controlled the game -- offensively and defensively -- in a rout of host Newbury Park.
Westlake 45, Simi Valley 14 (FINAL)
Dashon Hunt ran for two touchdowns and returned an interception for another to lead Westlake (6-0, 5-0). The Warriors won handily even though they turned the ball over on a fumble on their first possession and gave it up on an interception on their second.
Oaks Christian 50, Royal 0 (FINAL)
Oaks Christian got off to a slow start in the first quarter, with three drives stalling and ending with punts. But in the second quarter, Brandon Dawkins found his groove and tossed three touchdown passes as the Lions quickly pulled away.
Thousand Oaks 37, Agoura 13 (FINAL)
Clark Abourisk completed 12 of 19 passes for 239 yards and five touchdowns as the Lancers improved to 5-1, 4-0 in league.
Moorpark 52, Calabasas 20 (FINAL)
Aaron Stanton rushed for 85 yards on just eight attempts and scored three touchdowns to help lead Moorpark to a victory.
Camarillo 36, Channel Islands 29 (FINAL)
Camarillo scored in the final minute to go ahead.
Oxnard 42, Hueneme 20 (FINAL)
The Yellowjackets led 42-0 at halftime.
Rio Mesa 51, Pacifica 42 (FINAL)
Pacifica scored three times in the fourth quarter to attempt a comeback, but Rio Mesa held it off to win its Pacific View League opener.
Carpinteria 40, Fillmore 14 (FINAL)
The Flashes lose their Tri-Valley League opener.
Oak Park 40, Santa Paula 35 (FINAL)
Oak Park scored in the final minute on an Aaron Lacombe 62-yard reception from Nick Fahn to take the lead.
Ventura 13, Dos Pueblos 6 (FINAL)
Ventura improves to 7-0 by winning its Channel League opener.
Buena 49, San Marcos 21 (FINAL)
The Bulldogs win their Channel League opener and improve to 2-5.
Grace Brethren 59, Santa Clara 17 (FINAL)
Grace Brethren exploded for 41 second-half points Friday night to celebrate a lopsided homecoming victory. Grace Brethren ovecame a 10-0 deficit early in the first quarter and went on to prevail in a game played in the fog.
