Oaks Christian 24, Thousand Oaks 17
Jordan Payton did the grinding on the most important defensive stand of the night. He broke up Thousand Oaks' final two pass attempts with a pair of hard hits, and Oaks Christian held on for a 24-17 victory in their key Marmonte League matchup
Ventura 20, Buena 6
Rodney Stanley completed 20 of 33 passes for 237 yards and a 59-yard touchdown pass to Leo Camacho, who caught six passes for 126 yards. Connor Armstrong carried 19 times for 82 yards and a 2-yard touchdown run to lead Ventura to an 8-0 record.
Westlake 34, Moorpark 13
Moorpark's defense held its ground in the first quarter and well into the second quarter, holding unbeaten Westlake to just three points.But the dynamic Westlake offense, led by Justin Moore and Dashon Hunt, was just too much.
Oxnard 33, Rio Mesa 30 (OT)
With the Yellowjackets facing 3rd and 6 from the 10-yard line in overtime, Oscar Sandoval faked the handoff, bounced outside for an 8-yard gain and a crucial first down. On the next play, Charles Beckley took the handoff and powered his way into the end zone for the game-winning touchdown.
St. Bonaventure 56, Agoura 0
Marc Evans threw two touchdown passes and Shaun Wick rushed for 107 yards and that was more than enough as the Seraphs (6-1, 5-1) dominated the Chargers and maintained their second-place standing in the highly competitive Marmonte.
Channel Islands 42, Pacifica 35 (OT)
With Channel Islands down by a touchdown with 1:20 left, Jeremiah Valoaga took a backward pass from Steven Gutierrez and then fired a perfect strike to Anthony Harper for a 47-yard touchdown that tied the game at 35-35. Getting the ball first in overtime, the Raiders (5-2, 1-1 Paciifc View) scored what turned out to be the winning touchdown, as Richard Gray took a screen pass from Gutierrez and rambled 11 yards for the score.
Simi Valley 37, Royal 3
Knowing Simi Valley had a good chance of breaking its seven-game losing streak to rival Royal, running back Elijah Via made sure of it. Via rushed for 156 yards and four touchdowns Friday night as host Simi Valley buried Royal.
Camarillo 58, Hueneme 14
Travis Valdez threw seven touchdown passes, four of them to Conrad Kotake.
Newbury Park 37, Calabasas 13
The memory of last year's homecoming loss to Calabasas wasn't far from the minds of Newbury Park's players. The Panthers used that as inspiration, scoring three unaswered touchdowns in the fourth quarter to break open a close game.

Bishop Diego 35, Santa Clara 0
The Cardinals relied mostly on its running game, and Brandon Gonzalez was the catalyst, rushing 15 times for 143 yards and three touchdowns and quarterback Nolan Tisdale threw for two touchdowns as visiting Bishop Diego shut out Santa Clara.

Austin Robison and Cole Anderson scored the lone touchdowns for Villanova Prep.
