President Obama Orders Takeover of General Motors

One story was splashed across the front page of most papers Monday. It was the news that General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner was asked/forced to resign so that GM would be able to recieve more bailout money.

Now this is a HUGE issue. The U.S. government has taken it biggest step in the regulation age. The government is saying good bye to free market capitalism and beginning to use its long arms to influence companies and how they operate.  More funds for GM were conditioned on Wagoner giving up his post at the top of the company.

And like Glenn Beck has been ranting. Here comes the road to socialism.

Lay off the Kool-Aid and quit listening to Rush Limpdrug. It will help you discover reality once again.

What?!? quit drinking the kool-aid, in reference to republicans? I don't even feel like wasting my time explaining to you why you are an IDIOT!!! Get ready for socialism. It's only Obama's 62 day and he's already taken over America's major backbone-the auto industry. REALITY! WE ARE FACING REALITY! OPEN YOUR STUPID LIBRAL EYES! SOCALISM IS COMMING. oh wait thats what you want, isn't it.

LOL! Sometimes it is hard to tell if it is really right wing nutjobs posting or people just making fun of the nutjobs by acting like them.

Yes I am lost also. And for the record, I don't listen to Rush. He was always a little to rough around the edges for me. Too much of a fanatic for my taste.

I asked my dad in the 50's if he was afraid of Communism and he said no, communism only works for the very poor. How about socialism? He said Roosevelt already gave us that. The I asked what are you afraid of and he said Fascism. It took 60 years but look what's knocking on our doorstep.

Daniel,

First Republicans who are complaining and crying socialism about Rick Wagnor having to step down are hypocrites. They don't mind the government dictating that the union workers on the line lose jobs and take forced concessions but scream blody murder when a white collar CEO is forced to face reality.

Second, I have been a journalist working in the automotive industry for three decades and have meet and interviewed Rick Wagnor and other GM leaders on several occasions. They are the biggest bunch of arrogant, out of touch and incompetent people I have ever meet. I told them when Hummer was launched it would be the shortest lived brand GM ever had. They went ballistic and tried to ruin my carrier. It didn't work and look who was right.
