Revolution Begins At Home

Iran is in a state of chaos. Just like the Revolution of 79 which was over religious principles, the Revolution of Today is over fair elections. The people of Iran are standing up for their rights as citizens of an honest democracy. At the very least the Iranian government should call for a fair recount.

It is also amazing how in the modern day we see it happening. Live on the the web in pictures and video. And on the radio and television. Iran's right to a fair vote is everywhere. It is what's hot all around the world.

And things are getting worse.  A young woman, Neda Agha-Soltan, was shot by government forces. Her death in the street was replayed all over the web yet again.

The Iranian government has dispursed riot police and these guys look mean.

this is a much deeper issue and is far beyond just a mere rigged election. It doesn't rest as a surface issue which most of the media is potraying it as - a rigged election. It's really about the people wanting a different regime. People are tired of the mullahs and the fanatics running the country. People want freedom and they want democracy - they want the right that every human is entitled to - the right to religion, the right to free speech and the right to live their lives. Additionally, the women are tired of being treated as second class citizens and that explains why you see so many women on the streets protesting. It's very unfortunate and devastating how many innocent yet brave lives are being taken for a fight that asks for democracy and freedom.
