When Democrats Turn On Each Other

Well the tide is turning and Democrats are now starting to turn on each other. Yesterday I reported on how the Blue Dog Democrats were scared that Obamacare would not be fiscally responsible.  Why? Of course over money and influence from special interest groups. The Wall Street Journal says:

"[Blue Dog Democrats] don't want private health insurers to compete with a federally funded plan, and seek to reduce the share of lower-income Americans who would receive health-care subsidies."

According to Paul Krugman the Blue Dogs might be the straw that breaks the camels back if they don't get on board.

The only thing I like about the whole healthcare plan is the public option. If you do not have insurance through an employer, you can always buy it from the government. Here no one will be turned away because of pre-existing conditions or rejected for care. Insurance companies are scared that this public option will run them out of business when in fact it should only promote business. Competition will force insurance companies to shape up or ship out.

Only time will tell if President Obama gets healthcare reform passed. One thing is for sure, the Democrats are starting to crumble. As they turn on each other, power will soon fade.

Hopefully the plan will be defeated. That way the health insurance companies can be in charge for the next 10 years. After that there will be NO opposition to FULL universal coverage with NO MORE private health insurers.

The government makes a disaster of everything it touches.

Government healthcare will cost more, We will receive less, there will be enormous loopholes the corporations will exploit, and fraud will be rampant. Besides that, Pelosi and Reid are determined to make sure coverage for illegal aliens is included.

The only question is; Why are we, the voters, so stupid that we return this lying cheating stealing traitorous low-life dirtbag scum to office election after election.

Why were right wing nutjobs so stupid as to elect George Bush?

I don't know. I was only 15 at the time and not into politics.

The only problem I have with the public plan proposal is it might encourage cheap corporations to drop health coverage for their employee. As I understand it those corporations that do that will immediately be subjected to an 8% penalty. I am not sure however that is enough penalty for those cheapskates. The right wingers in their ads argue that as many as 110 million could lose their private health coverage. I doubt if it would be that much since right wing numbers have NEVER been right in history but if it is even a third of that it could be a disaster.

I still think it would be cheaper in the long run if the crooked health insurers would just be allowed to continue their ways for another 10 years or so and create a massive public uproar so they could be eliminated all together.

We don't need to wait another 10 years. I can use some health insurance right now.

Why were you so stupid as to vote for George Bush and create the worst economic mess in our lifetimes?

jw you should lose the democrat vs. republican thing. There is only one party running America (into the ground). The 2 party illusion and rancor is just drama for the masses white the scum politicians work together to rob us blind and deliver us bound to foreign and corporate interests.

ALL politicians, repulsivecans and democraps, are lying cheating stealing traitorous low-life dirtbag scum. It is us vs. them and when need to throw every incumbent out of office.
