July 20, 2005 - Summer ManiaThe Television Critics Association is in full swing for the next few days. CBS presented their new shows on Tuesday and promised an enlightening miniseries on Pope John Paul II. Cary Elwes will play the younger Pope and Ian Holm from the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy will play the pontiff in his later years.
For those "Joan of Arcadia" fans, CBS president Nina Tassler is sad to see the show go but said there will likely not be any follow-up movie to tie up the loose ends of the show. It's too bad that the fans of this series will not get any closure.

Paula Abdul will be touring the country and teaching people how to dance during video vignettes that will air during the new reality show "So You Think You Can Dance" premiering tonight at 8 p.m. No word yet on if she will be back for the next season of "American Idol" yet.
The "American Idol" tour is in full swing with the Idols playing to eager fans. The tour stops in Toronto tonight before making its way to New Jersey and New York. Tickets are still available on Ticketmaster for the Staples Center show on August 17.
