Ventura County enjoyed one week of having two nationally-ranked community college football teams.
The Ventura College football team dropped out of the JC Gridwire national Top 25 by losing for the second straight week, 17-14, at Glendale Saturday night.
Moorpark was idle Saturday, yet moved up four spots to No. 21 nationally. The Raiders visit No. 2 College of the Canyons Saturday night in a Top 25 showdown.
Last week was the first week in recent memory in which both Ventura County programs were ranked in the Top 25.
