VC women wins Glendale, 72-57

Freshman Erika Ward earned Most Valuable Player honors and sophomore Michelle Santizo joined her on the all-tournament team as the Ventura College women's basketball team defeated Antelope Valley, 72-57, to capture the Vaquero Shootout at Glendale College Sunday evening.

Ventura (4-0), ranked No. 2 in the state, lead by 24 points with two minutes to play. Antelope Valley is No. 6 in the South.
