1. Tony Strickland Fund Raiser w/ Mitt Romeny.
I have said it many times but Tony Strickland is a great campaigner. Choosing to support Mitt Romney has paid off for him. Imagine if Hannah Beth Jackson would have supported Barack Obama before California voted.
2. Same Sex Marriages will be taking place at the county court house.
The news coverage of people that have loved in each other for many years finally being able to marry will change some minds. As this quote in a George Skelton article sums it up:
"...Particularly compelling was a speech by Sen. Joe Simitian (D-Palo Alto), who talked about marriage "reinforcing traditional values: accountability, monogamy, commitment, the rule of law. . . . " Society should be encouraging that, he asserted, whether heterosexual or same sex.
3. There is a Barack Obama organizing event at the UFCW Hall in Camarillo from 7 to 9 PM. I will post any events from McCain supporters when I see them.
If at the end of the day you have any pictures that you want me to post, send them in. If you want to write a summary of the Tony Strickland event from the inside I will post it without any edits to your work.
I will have some video to post but if you have videos send me a link and I will post them too. I don't care what event or what side you are on I will post it so others can learn more about what is going on. To show I post information from many different sides here is an amazing ad for John McCain.
Luckily for Barack Obama not many people will get the historical references. In a recent poll about a quarter of British people thought Winston Churchill was a myth.

Romney should disassociate himself from Strickland. He will be slimed for headlining his fundraiser as pro tobacco and pro gaming tribes. But of course this is payback for Strickland chairing his statewide campaign for President.
Why would HBJ have supported Obama? She was supporting Hillary simply because she was female. Consider HBJ's quote from a recent women's meeting in Ojai:
"It is incumbent upon us, as women, to step forward with pride and determination and the ability to articulate our vision for the future,” Jackson said. “Because when we take a look at what the men have done to this country, particularly this most recent Bozo, and we can’t do any worse. But what we can do is a lot better and we will.”
The men? Imagine if Strickland had asked people to imagine what a woman would do to this country or our state. HBJ is a sexist and extreme leftist.
Oh please!
She was talking to the National Women's Political Caucus. I was there. Of course she would be encouraging women to run for office. That's what NWPC is about.
I agree. Bush is a bozo. I might have called him worse.
Nice try. The one last night from Ron was ridiculous, too.
You folks can't face the truth: your guy takes money from the worst of the worst and then votes accordingly.
You don't find that comment sexist? Would it be an excuse if a male candidate, speaking to an all male audience spoke about getting and keeping men elected? Her comments were offensive to me and I happen to be a woman. She does not represent my views. I don't even care what she said about Bush. She said look at what THE men have done. Not THIS MAN.
Encouraging women to run for office is one thing. Blaming the faults of the country on the opposite sex is another. She's an extreme leftist. Just the facts.
How did they get a transcript of what she said? I am impressed. Who is this Ron person? I don't see his comment.
NWPC is about encouraging women to run for office. It was perfectly acceptable and you are just grasping at straws to make a point.
The Bush administration is mostly men and that is what she was referring to. You didn't have the whole context and weren't there to listen to the whole speech. I was.
She has integrity, principals and honesty. She is motivated out of a sense of helping the regular folks in this district. She's not in the pocket of Big Tobacco, Big Oil, and Big Alcohol. Your guy is.
You can pick over a portion of a speech all you want. It won't make your guy any more palatable to me.
Please post the transcript so we can make up our minds.
Also, Condi Rice is Sec. of State.
Don't be impressed, Mr. Question Mark, I'm not. They pulled the quote from a story in the Reporter which also quoted Kathy Long.
So far I'm not impressed with one thing the Strickland minions have done. Taking that tobacco money for him was a real blunder. Wow.
Have a nice day. (I promised Mongo I would work on my tone)
You promised Mongo, Marie. You are smoking too much of that Ojai pot.
Don't ever make a deal with the devil. If you do, you will just be another Strickland.
I'm having lunch with Butt Man today. Hope you can make it. I'm starting to really like Butt Man. He told me last night that when Tobaco Puffs, Strickland Sucks. I think I understand what his message is.
For your information, CAP-812, Marie is 100 percent drug free. Doesn't drink or smoke or gamble and doesn't live in Ojai, either.
But do tell Butt Man "Hi" for me, OK?
Boy did I have you pegged wrong. I was going to be in Ventura tomorrow evening at 6:00 PM and thought I'd drop in to say hello. Sounds like you will not get along with my cigars, martinis and a love for the crap table, so I may just skip it. Butt Man and I are heading off for the Strickland/Mitt protest this evening. If you stop by, I'll be the good looking young hunk with Butt Man. I'll be wearing a yellow shirt and tan slacks. You will find me rather buffed and tan.
Later gal.
It looks like we are being asked to ignore the tobacco fanatics and instead buy a ticket and go inside.
I heard Jackson speak in Santa Barbara at a professional organization I belong to when she was still in the Assembly and when she wasn't bashing Bush she was criticizing men for screwing up the government. I got so disgusted I got up and walked out.
She definitely exhibits man-hating behavior, but she does it selectively. The group she was addressing that day were real estate professionals (probably 80% women) and typical Santa Barbara liberals. So, she definitely knew her rants would be well-received by that particular audience.
I watched Audra Strickland's campaign manager attack the anti-tobacco protestors tonight. It is all on video.
I didn't see it but I will wait to see this video you have when you post it.
