We will be passing out materials and forming committees. This is a working meeting and not a lookyloo meeting.

My prediction:
Gallegly - 78%
Jorgensen - 22%
And I think I'm being generous to Marta.
"Not a lookyloo" meeting? That's not sounding too friendly. If someone was on the fence about helping, they just pushed them over the wrong side.
Note to Jorgensen campaign: you need all the volunteers you can get.
Wow, Marie, how uncharacteristically "Mongo" of you...
I'm obviously not always Snow White.
Working on a campaign is hard: going door-to-door, making cold calls, delivering signs, etc. It's really not much fun. But if you throw a friendly, social element in it and seem welcoming, it's easier to rally folks.
Discouraging people who are for now just curious doesn't seem like a good strategy to me.
I agree with you 100%, Marie. It's going to be hard enough as it is for her to get her campaign off the ground. This notice will probably only alienate people.
The backhanded swipe at Seniors was special. Only positive ones that think outside the box are welcome. I guess they think most Seniors are negative and narrow minded.
The best phone callers campaigns have are the retired folks. They have free time, they're well read, grounded in political history and personable. I love working with them.
America has it's reasons to vote and those reasons aren't to keep Republicans in power.
Marta Jorgensen is running because she loves serving the people of the 24th District.
Elton Gallegly is running because he "loves the life style". While Elton Gallegly was helping G.W. Bush destroy America he was "loving the lifestyle" of a Republican Congressman. Elton Gallegly didn't say he wanted to run because he loves to serve the People of the 24th District. Elton Gallegly said he "loves the lifestyle" of being a Bush Republican Congressman.
This campaign will not be won or lost by those who choose not to fight. It will be determined by those who do.
Marta Jorgensen is great on the issues. She is just who we need in Congress. She is very pro
environment, health care, peace, and constitutional rights and civil liberty rights. She is calm, collected, smart and has great ideas. Let's come together to put her into office.
I live in Simi Valley. When is she campaigning here?
What has she done since winning the primary to impress you?
