It's Spelling Bee Day in Ventura County. The area champions (who first won their school Spelling Bee and then won competition for their area) meet at CSUCI at 6 p.m. to determine who will represent Ventura County at the national Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May. Manpower Inc., the employment agency, will release its quarterly jobs report which takes a look at what employers are doing in hiring -- in recent quarters in Ventura County there have been more jobs eliminated than jobs being filled.
