It's Spelling Bee Day in Ventura County. The area champions (who first won their school Spelling Bee and then won competition for their area) meet at CSUCI at 6 p.m. to determine who will represent Ventura County at the national Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. in May. If you can't make it to the competition, you'll still be able to watch it live right here on VCStar.com.

Manpower Inc., the employment agency, will release its quarterly jobs report which takes a look at what employers are doing in hiring -- in recent quarters in Ventura County there have been more jobs eliminated than jobs being filled.

We're following a pedestrian fatality that happened Sunday night in Fillmore. There are a few details being released this morning and we'll stay on top of it throughout the day on the web.
