High school students can continue to take community college classes for free in the county. The college board passed on a chance to begin charging them fees last night. We'll have more on the decision today.
Ventura County unemployment numbers are out today. We'll post them online when they are released. It will be interesting to see if the figure stayed flat, like the national average released last week.
We'll have more later today on the arrest of the four men on Santa Rosa Island and the seizure of a ton of marijuana after their boat wrecked.
Look for some possible fireworks today when the county's five small cities pitch their projects to be funded with federal block grant money. There are more projects than money and the county gets to decide who gets what. Meeting starts at 8:30 a.m. and we'll be there.









I'm glad to see that they will not charge fees to the high school students. I think it would be a deterrent.
