The Goebel Senior Center Stamp Club will have an auction at its Oct. 19 meeting, reports Stan Cotter of the group. The 31 auction lots will be on display at the first meeting of the month, Oct. 5. Most of the money raised from the auction will be used to support the club’s next Youth Stamp Day.
The auction includes U.S. and foreign material. The following lots are some of the more expensive items, based on expected minimum bids:
LOT 22: Poland, No. C26A-8, mint NH; C26C, mint; catalog, $47; estimated minimum, $15.
LOT 18: Germany, No. 8325-26, used; catalog, $33; estimated minimum, $10.
LOT 30: Denmark -- 114 stamps (duplicates not counted), mint and used; generally good condition (three with thins); catalog, $72; estimated minimum, $10.
LOT 31: France -- 415 stamps (no duplicates), mint/used; catalog $272.10; estimated minimum, 40.

LOT 33: Italy -- 209 stamps (duplicates not included), mint/used; catalog value, including duplicates, $192; estimated minimum, $20.
The C in front of a catalog number is the Scott Publishing Co. designation of an airmail stamp.
